Wood appointed as one of the Technical Advisors to Southern Green 氢 project

Producing green hydrogen at scale in New Zealand is a critical step to reducing the country’s reliance on imported fossil fuels and supporting its transition to a low-carbon economy. The development of one of the world’s largest green hydrogen production plants in Southland has 现在 moved a step 关闭r with the recent appointment of consultants Wood, Beca and Arup, as Technical Advisors for the initial project development stages of the project. Southern Green 氢 is a joint project by Meridian 能源 and Contact 能源, to evaluate the opportunity to produce green hydrogen. This development presents a substantial export opportunity that has the potential to place New Zealand as a world leader in the emerging Green 氢 economy.

As Technical Advisors for the project, Wood will work 关闭ly with the other consultants and support Southern Green 氢 in identifying opportunities and risks associated with the project and providing technical solutions that meet the project objectives. Our global team of experts will bring substantial heavy industrial engineering, 操作, project delivery and maintenance experience to the project, including hydrogen (grey, 蓝色的, green and bio) and ammonia production lifecycle management.
